Laoanshan tunnel is China’s first high-speed rail through Qin Mountains. According to route planning, it will shorten nearly 650 kilometers from Xi’an to Chengdu. Only three hours can finish the course in theory if the motor car is 250 kilometers per hour. Due to the formation of complex geological conditions, abundant groundwater, undulating surface, numerous bedrock “V” type erosion valley, the construction of Laoanshan tunnel is extremely difficult. For this special construction conditions, it is advised to use stainless self drilling anchor system. It is suitable for the reinforcement of moist stratum and soil layer and has certain resistance to air, water and chemical reagents.
